Let's Talk About | The 2025 Royal Rumble Predictions

Welcome back to this website. Usually we have conversations about Wrestling PLE's after the fact, however, since it's the Royal Rumble this Saturday Night/Sunday Morning, it's only right we make predictions. 

Whilst the official line up, to our knowledge, hasn't been announced, we will make predictions the matches, in the order they may be in.

Women's Royal Rumble Match

Before we get to picking the winner, let's talk about some of the contenders. 

Bianca Belair - A Former Rumble Winner. Bianca had a confrontation with Rhea Ripley backstage on WWE TV last year. Was that a preview for a match at WrestleMania 41? 

Charlotte Flair - A vignette signalling her return recently aired, which was very reminiscent of the time where Cody Rhodes also had a vignette, he returned at the Royal Rumble in 2023 and won. Could lightning strike twice? 

Iyo Sky - It's time for a new name to be added to the winners list. Iyo will be looking to win here or the Elimination Chamber in Toronto to also challenge Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 41.

Becky Lynch - You can never bet against The Man for winning the Rumble again. Becky will probably be in the Final Four or Five. 

The possible 2025 Women's Royal Rumble Match Winner:  Charlotte Flair. 

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
DIY (C) vs Motor City Machine Guns 

This contest is Two out of Three Falls. DIY's Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa recently won the titles from Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin on SmackDown, the expectation here is they will have a successful defense and then lose the gold to The Street Profits in the future. 

Ladder Match for the WWE Championship

Cody Rhodes (C) vs Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens has another opportunity to finally capture the WWE Championship, however, the prediction here is for him to lose again, this time due to a possible interference from  Randy Orton, who was put on the injury list because of Owens, or from his friend/rival Sami Zayn which sets up Sami versus Kevin at Elimination Chamber in Toronto. 

Men's Royal Rumble Match 

Here are the Men's Royal Rumble Match Contenders.

John Cena - This year is Cena's last as an active wrestler in the WWE. He will be looking to win Championship Number 17 before he retires, although Logan Paul might have something to say about that. 

CM Punk - Punk was the runner up last year and will want to go one step better and main event WrestleMania. He says Paul Heyman owes him a favour. Could that be Number 30? 

Seth Rollins - It has been six years since Seth last won the Rumble, he lost the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, he is looking to reclaim it and also win the Rumble for the second time. 

Roman Reigns - The OTC reclaimed the Ula Fala from Solo Sikoa on the Premiere episode of Monday Night RAW and is now after the WWE Championship. The thought here is that he may be left disappointed. 

The Final Boss. The Rock - Weeks ago on NXT. The Rock said he's always twenty steps ahead. Fans have been speculating he may swerve everyone as the 31st entrant and win the match. 

The possible 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match Winner:  CM Punk.

The Women's and Men's Rumbles are very difficult to call, which is a good thing and before we close out the predictions, here is a very early one for you.

Sami Zayn to possibly win the 2026 Royal Rumble, which takes place in Saudi Arabia. 

The predictions are now locked in.

Let's Talk About | New Year's Evil

The NETFLIX Era continued with New Year's Evil, here in the U.K anyway. It was set to be another good night of wrestling for sure. 

Congratulations to Giulia, she is the NEW NXT Women's Champion, taking the title from Roxanne Perez, there has been a lot of talk that Roxanne will be called to the main roster after this defeat. NXT's loss is RAW or SmackDown's gain if this happens. 

Stephanie Vaquer is the Number One Contender for the NXT Women's North American Championship after winning the Fatal Four Match which included Cora Jade, Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice. Shotzi also made a case for the title because she pinned the current Champion Fallon Henley during the Six Women Tag Team Match. 

Lexis King won the NXT Heritage Cup from Charlie Dempsey, the stipulation was Sudden Death Rules. One Fall to a finish. 

Oba Femi is now the Ruler and King of NXT, he finally captured the NXT Championship, pinning Trick Williams in the triple threat that included Eddy Thorpe. Trick, like Roxanne, has been touted for a future main roster call up as well. Hopefully Eddy will remain in the title picture because Oba needs challengers to defend his title. 

The Final Boss, The Rock headlined the show with an in-ring promo, he mentioned Cody Rhodes, the premiere episode of Monday Night Raw on NETFLIX and that he's thinking twenty steps ahead. The Royal Rumble is on Saturday February 1st, on that night we will find out if Rock competes in the Rumble Match, whether it's at Number Thirty, Thirty One or earlier than that.

Let's Talk About | WWE RAW on NETFLIX

History was made as WWE RAW was broadcast LIVE on NETFLIX for the very first time, from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood California, there was a lot going on, so Let's Talk About the show. 

We saw a montage of wrestling stories throughout the years, narrated by The Game, Triple H, who was standing in the ring to speak to the thousands in attendance to welcome everyone to The NETFLIX Era. 

The new stage and arena set up was a nice visual. 

The in-ring promos continued with The Final Boss, The People's Champion, The Rock. During that time he acknowledged Cody, who was standing in the crowd and his cousin Roman, prior to The OTC's Tribal Combat Match against Solo.

The match itself started off at a decent pace, it picked up when Tonga Loa appeared, which led to chaos and run-ins from members of the OG and New Bloodline, similar shenanigans to The Bloodline Rules matches we have seen in the past, KO hit Reigns with a Stunner from outta nowhere which led to Cody running out to even the playing field as it were, for those don't know Cody will defend the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble against KO in a Ladder Match. 

Roman hit Solo with a spear for the three count, we saw The Rock walk out to the ring, he presented The OTC with the Ula Fala and then stood watching Roman celebrate with the One's to the sky. 

I'll be honest, when Roman and Rock stared at each other in the ring, there was hope we would finally see the match at WrestleMania 41, however, now I'm not so sure because neither Heyman or Rock turned against Roman, staying with the Bloodline Story, Solo is no longer the Tribal Chief, he needs to be careful and wary of Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu, Jacob always says he loves Solo, it's only a matter of time until that Love turns to Hate. 

That was a lot to read there wasn't it? 

John Cena cut an in-ring promo, talking about his farewell tour, he closed by saying he will win the Royal Rumble Match, there has been a lot of talk online, surprise, surprise, in regards to Cena's opponent at WrestleMania, let's just wait and see who it is. 

Congratulations to the NEW Women's World Champion. Rhea Ripley, she dethroned Liv Morgan to begin a new reign, she gained further revenge by hitting Dominik with a Riptide, hopefully this story is now over. The Undertaker made an appearance as The American Badass and congratulated Rhea.  That was a great moment for her. You love to see it. 

Via Instagram, The Rock announced he will be appearing at NXT New Year's Evil, we will talk about that show, stay tuned for that. 

It was great to hear Fein by Travis Scott, who was in attendance, he accompanied Main Event Jey Uso to the ring prior to his win against Drew McIntyre. YEET! 

Shoutout to the crowd for booing Hulk Hogan throughout his promo. He deserved that reaction. One hundred percent. 

CM PUNK won the main event against Seth Rollins, respect for them for giving us, the fans, a great fight to watch. Punk and Rollins will be contenders to win the Rumble next month. But there can only be one winner. 

The Premiere Episode of Monday Night RAW on NETFLIX flowed nicely, there weren't any commercials that slowed the momentum of the show, well, at least over here in the U.K.
